Ranchers Prayer for Rain

Lord, as I stand in the pasture where my cattle graze. I taste the  earth that the wind has blown to my lips. I feel the sweat running down my forehead from the sun beating down. I can hear the ground crying.
Let it rain.
Lord, I am tired. My eyes are sore from seeing the barren holes were water stood. My ears are ringing from the sound of cattle being sold. My legs are weak from fighting the drought.
Let it rain.
I know you are carrying me through these days for I could not do this on my own. All I ask Lord is for rain so You can place me back upon my feet. I will shoulder the rest of the load.
Let it rain.

  4. Ditto the Amens! The strong north wind today lets us have a glimpse of what the pioneers must have felt during the great dust bowl! We're starting to lose trees now. :(

  6. I received several views today from search engines for a prayer for rain especially after the recent fires in Bastrop, Texas. If anyone would like to copy and paste the prayer for facebook your more than welcome to do so. I live close to the Bastrop area and my thoughts and prayers are with those people affected by the fires.
